The underdog Washington Huskies thrilled Coco and other dawg fans by dominating Nebraska 19-7 in the Holiday Bowl.

Christmas Ships!

Ben surprised us this week by preparing a tasty salmon dinner and taking us to see Christmas Ships!

We drove to a park on the shores of Lake Washington and listened to live jazz music, ate cookies and drank cocoa and cider. There was a large bonfire to keep warm and santa was there handing out mini gifts. Then the Christmas ships arrived. The choir aboard the ship gave a 20 minute concert of carols to all on shore. It was especially nice as the evening was beautiful with a large moon and stars!

Spontaneous Dress-Up!

CoCo started it all with this flashy Mary/Angel/Shepherd (depending on her mood) costume. And what can we say? ... we all took her lead!

So much fun and laughter! What a joy it is having Oma, Opa and Shante with us!

All she wants for Christmas is...

A Purple Bikini!?

YES! So strange, don't you think?

If you ask her, she'll tell you! AND she may even specify, "wiff poke-dots"!

I could not figure out how this idea got into her head. Purple is definitely her favorite color, so the purple was no surprise... but the bikini? Where did she get that thought?!

I had never heard of anyone asking for a bikini for Christmas???

Well, mystery solved!!!

I found the answer in her "Thanksgiving Prayer" book of all places!

"See Mommy!" she said. "One wike dat!"

Snowman "Joe"...

The morning before ALL our snow melted, Ben and CoCo made a snowman and she named him Joe! It was a very fun ending to our 5 days of winter!

Graci was happy to return to the warm indoors!
