Hot! Hot! Hot!

It's a toasty 94 degrees at 11:00 am and we are doing everything to keep cool!  Last night I went to buy a second fan.  NO SUCH LUCK!!!  There had been thousands of them on Sunday, but I was told they sold out of them early on Monday.  There's new shipments today, but it's predicted that they'll be gone within the hour!

CoCo's Suggestion: A small shipment to Antarctica.

Parks With Adventure!

We were to meet Joy and clan today at the park.  While we were waiting, a fire engine pulled up and began a demonstration for some children attending a day camp.  It was really quite amazing!
(Ty, we thought of you!)

Everyone found it quite intriguing.

"Northwest Salmon Slide"

Precious Moments...

We had a fun visit with Uncle How and Auntie Diane.  Diane had CoCo laughing so hard the morning they left!  AND I think Howard and I were laughing just as hard at CoCo!  The visit was short, but VERY SWEET!

Miss CoCo!

While I was cleaning the kitchen, CoCo put together this little ensemble.  She found her hat in the coat closet, located her shoe (3 sizes too big) under her bed and brought me her vest gesturing that she wanted it on.  Some days, she cracks me up!

Happy Fourth!

Ben had Friday off, so we we decided go out for an early breakfast.  After breakfast, we walked down to Gasworks Park where the fireworks can be seen from all over Seattle on the 4th.  They had already started setting up for the festivities and lady liberty's head was all blown up, fenced and guarded by a very cute and definitely older security guard.
Below is a photo of the barge where they shoot the fireworks from.

... later we met friends at the wading pool.  Perfect for a hot day!

On the 4th, we went to the beach.  And it was actually HOT at the shore!
note: we aren't barefoot...  the sand was WAY too hot
.... in the eve, we barbecued with friends who put on their own fireworks show.

... and finally, we were home just in time to watch the fireworks off our own balcony!!!
(and through our tree)
Hope your 4th celebrations were great!

Eve at the park...

It had been a cool day, but then the sun came out about 5 pm.  So we found ourselves heading to the park at 7 pm... just for a stroll.
