Summer Cobs!

I was talking on the phone today and happened to mention how much CoCo loves her corn on the cob. She'll eat basically a whole cob leaving very few kernels intact at the end.
Anyway, I remembered this photo and thought I'd share it!
Such intensity, eh?!

Catching Up!

Our lives haven't lent themselves to lots of "free time" lately.  But, I think we will do a quick update here and see if we can at least update the blog to current day!

Abbey, roommate from college days, came to visit us with her family.  They traveled from Durango, Co and we had a wonderful visit!  Anthony and Marcus can come entertain CoCo anytime they please!  :)

Marcus and Anthony pose on the Komodo dragon sculpture at the zoo.

Abbey celebrated her 20-something? birthday while in town!

Bed time stories by Abbey.

CoCo takes on her first household task.

"Whoops, Mama forgot to give me a bath.  Maybe this will remind her!"

CoCo explores beyond closed doors!

In this case, Daddy's helper!  :)

Sadly....

...we will not be bringing home a baby in December.  Yesterday, at 15+ weeks, we went for an ultrasound and were shocked to find that our little one did not have a heartbeat.  Hopes and dreams have been destroyed.  It's truly heartbreaking and I feel as though my world has come to a stop, yet everyone else is rushing on.  I have so many questions and cannot begin to bring meaning to even one.  I am lonely and lost.  Yet, somehow I know You are near.  I Believe.

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
When there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name.

Warm!

The last 3 weeks have been the most beautiful 3 weeks of spring I have ever spent in Seattle!  We are spending loads of time outside and LOVING it!!!
