Container Gardening...

The non-gardener is always quite content if something turns out well when playing in the dirt.

Gum Wall !!!

I really felt this photo deserved it's own post... separate from the rest of our fun weekend.
Welcome to our cities Gum Wall!
You really have to double click on the photo to get the "Full Picture"!
Have you ever seen anything so sick, yet so interesting?

Did we ever have a house FULL of girls this weekend!!! What a fabulous time! We only wish we lived closer so that we could see them more often!

There was a whole lot of block building over the span of the weekend!!

The gals dream of going on a cruise one day ...
note: cruise ship, top right

Harvey Wavebanger Too!

On Saturday morning, Becky's aunt and uncle took us out for a tour of the harbor on their boat. It was a delightful morning and definitely a highlight of the weekend!

Historic Note: (if interested)
Above is the buoy that honors the writing of the Star Spangled Banner. During the war of 1812, Francis Scott Key was sent out to a British ship to negotiate the release of prisoners. The negotiation was successful, but he was kept on the boat that night as the British would not release him back to Baltimore as he now knew the strength and position of the British units. So, Francis Scott Key's only choice was to watch the British battle the Americans at Fort McHenry. Of course, he and the prisoners were thrilled the next morning to see that "the flag was still there". What he saw and heard that night inspired him to write the national anthem.

One last evening together...

Rebecca and David graciously hosted all of us at their beautiful home in Baltimore, where we enjoyed the art they've collected on their travels and their beautiful garden!!!
Of course, we also loved the pizza and drinks! :)

I believe the huge smiles above were captured after this one small statement,
"Objects are smaller than they appear".

Last chance photos!
