Valentines Fete!

For many years, we've spent Valentines with our friends Dwayne and Denise. They graciously host a fabulous party with food and drinks fit for kings and queens! Last evening was no exception!  So without further adieu I introduce to you our hostess and host of the evening....

AND one of their beautiful daughters, Piper, who turned ONE on Valentines Day.

Sam was adamant that all the kids be served dessert, "chocolate meatballs".

Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!

Here's grandpa "Johnnie" when he was five.  Notes on the back of the original of this picture say that Johnnie was putting a new roof on a birdhouse with his helpers Beannie, Jojo, Jocko and "Donks". Grandpa's a year older today, but not much has changed. He still favors short sleeved dress shirts with a tie and enjoys spending time in the shop. 

 

Celebrating Chinese New Year!

There's a group of us who have gotten together for "ethnic dinners" for about 2 years now. We choose a country and bring food that is specific to that nation! Rachel hosted a Chinese feast in honor of the Chinese New Year! The food was FABULOUS and the decorations at Rachel's parties are always festive!
