Kachess Lake!

Gorgeous Vacation!

In CC's words, "This was the best vacation since I was one!"

We had a GREAT time!

Below, CC and Ben built a little fairy house on an old stump.

Thank you, Ben for all your efforts to make it happen and for picking the most beautiful campsite!  We made a lot of memories to share!  Love you!

Kindergarten!

And she's off...

She showed us the way to school.  Got in line behind her teacher and friend.  Marched into school like she had done it a million times.  Me? (you ask) Well, I'm hanging in there and super thankful for G's constant chatter this morning!

Peach Cream Pie!

I broke my "I don't make pies" rule.

May I suggest you give this a try?  SO delicious!!

(and I don't even like pie)

Peach and Creme Fraiche Pie!

I made the crust she suggested in the recipe!

Summer Fun!

A much more low key summer than we had planned (most plans went to the wayside) thanks to a little peanut that didn't cooperate with Mama's tummy. However, the girls think it was great as they each had 2 sessions of swim lessons... which they loved! And there were lots of local park dates and we even went to the Burke Museum where CC saw dinosaur bones for the first time (a dream come true for our little gal).

Dress up and playdates!

Rock collecting!

Bought a tent... haven't used yet!  :)

Beach/Park day in British Columbia with Auntie Diane!

Soccer Camp for CC!

CC learned to ride bike!!

Lunch by CC!

How thoughtful is this?

CC decided to make lunch for each of us and she put "only what you like" on our sandwiches!

LOVE IT!

Neighborhood Kids Parade!

 Lined up before the start.

(love how they're sizing each other up)

A wonderful evening spent with neighbors!  The kids roamed the blocked off street all evening riding and playing.  The food was delish!  I LOVE where we live!

Eastern Washington!

We spent four wonderful days with friends in an old farm house near Leavenworth, WA. We had such a great time with fantastic friends and the cutest kids around!

View of the house from the back.

Chickens a highlight for all ages!

Fresh eggs!

I loved the dining room (sits 18).  I  dream of having a table for 18 one day!

Horse and buggy driving past.  The horses were in training, so no rides but they did stop so the kids could pet them!

For my quilt loving friends!  Old quilts, all hand sewn!

Slip-N-Slide

Favorite goof balls!

Dancing on the porch...

Smores!  and later, tall tales after dark!  :)
